Two famous parks are part of the Upper West Side - Central Park and Riverside Park. Within Chelsea, there are three historic districts. The Ladies Mile Historic District, the Chelsea Historic District and the West Chelsea Historic District. While the Ladies Mile covers former grand, loft-style department stores, the Chelsea District features tree-lined streets with many beautiful townhouses of different styles from the 19th century. This area is now home to countless art galleries, museums and cultural spaces.
